The tech came out and told us (not to our surprise) that our 2 doors were quite old and the motors should be replaced, even though only one was making noise. The gave us a discount on the 2nd door, and replaced it that day. They were also quite responsive and accommodating when I had telephone questions. Highly recommend.

I have used Atlas for 25 years and was always happy with the service. After the company was sold, I had a new key pad installed and yesterday was told it needed to be replaced. The previous keypad had… Read more I have used Atlas for 25 years and was always happy with the service. After the company was sold, I had a new key pad installed and yesterday was told it needed to be replaced. The previous keypad had worked for 20 years and this one lasted 1 year. The company refused to stand behind it and charged both parts and service call. I will not be using Atlas Garage door again.

Company response:

It was my understanding that the technician who came to your yesterday had a conversation with your partner and she stated that she was unsure if we had installed the motor previously. No warranty paperwork was provided to the technician at this time. We would have gladly verified any warranty work in our system prior to a site visit. With that being said the tech went under assumption that we did not install the motor in which we do not warranty anything not installed by us. Our records do indicate that the installation was done by us, however there is a 90day warranty on all electronics, Lifetime warranty on the motor head, and Lifetime warranty on the chain rail. If in fact the unit was defective and under warranty and it was brought to my attention before receiving this review I believe this could have been handled in a more effective manner. We will gladly work with you to come to a common resolve to keep you as a valued customer. Thank you

Installer was not too professional and did not finish job on time on the same day. I was then pushed back 3 times for various reasons and was frustrating as should been done in same day. Doors are nice and work was good though

Company response:

Chris we do apologize that the job was not completed the night of the big storm (weather seal and decorative hardware on the outside). The poor driving conditions were of a concern and also we wish we had been able to complete the weatherseal the same day. The rescheduling as you were aware, was due to the fact of the back to back storms we experienced, and once the door was not left unlocked as indicated it would be upon arrival. Again we thank you for your business and Will gladly honor one Free preventative tighten, lube, and balance within the first year of operation. Sincerely, Paul Longo
