Most people buy only one or two garage doors in their lifetime, so you want to work with a company you trust and are comfortable with.

You can take time to ask the homeowners of the property how satisfied they are with the work. If they recommend the dealer without any hesitation, that is a great sign.
It is equally important to be certain that the garage door dealer you may work with has the proper licensing in their province or state to do the work you need. You should also inquire about what professional and liability insurance they have. Another thing to take note of is whether the dealer is a part of a professional garage door industry association. These associations require members adhere to a certain set of ethics. Don’t take the dealers word for it when it comes to any of these things, either. Ask to see the certificates and licenses for yourself.
Seriously look at the level of service you can expect to receive.
If you are working with a professional company who is experienced with servicing, selling, and installing garage doors, there is no reason for them to be dishonest or unrealistic with you. You want to make sure you judge the company by more than its appearance. A company that has a fleet of trucks on their website doesn’t necessarily have those trucks in their parking lot, for example.
To be sure about what you can expect, the best option is to stop by and give them a visit. A company that has a neat and organized showroom and warehouse is more like to be conscientious and thorough, which applies with the tasks they do for you, as well.
You also want a dealer who is able to react quickly if you need service calls. Consider whether the dealer has enough service vehicles to handle the entire area where you are located. Are there enough that prompt installation shouldn’t be a problem? You also want to know that the trucks are well‑stocked with replacement parts in case problems crop up. If you find the answers to these things adequate, this is the sign of a company that will provide the service you need.
