Trend #4: Energy efficiency
You don’t want to spend any more on your energy bill than is absolutely necessary. Since garages today are sometimes extensions of the home, replete with furnishings, gym equipment, and work stations, it is important to make sure that the garage has proper insulation. Some windows in a garage door are nice, and you can even find some today that will match the style of the rest of the home. However, you don’t have to use a design that matches your other windows. Consider looking at some of the newer doors that are coming onto the market to see what they have to offer. For example, European‑style doors are becoming more popular in the US. The addition of more windows also allows more light to come through, as well as heat from the sun.
